About Us

The dream started with Dusty Washburn and Jeremy Schmeidler. They had a vision of a club hitting barn/workout facility for our Hays Baseball Club kids. With the financial assistance of Glenn and Mary Jane Schmeidler and the construction expertise of Bob and Justin Herl at RDH Construction, the vision eventually grew into a 27,000 square foot multi-sport indoor training center.

The PIT was developed solely with the hope to serve the kids of Hays, by offering high-level structured training opportunities not readily available otherwise. We are a non-profit with all proceeds going back into the maintenance and future expansions of the building and services.

The facility features a 120' x 120' fully netted turfed area, six batting cages and wood floor basketball court equipped with 6 basketball goals. The court is fully volleyball compatible as well.
